What a difference a week makes!

Well, to all my faithful blog readers (Heather), sorry it has taken me a while to post new pictures! Adam and I were out of town last week and then this week has been busy so far getting ready for school starting. But you won't have to wait any longer - here are some new pictures of the house that were taken a few days ago.

This is the wall that hours were spent on peeling the 3 layers off of. It is now prepped and ready to be painted!

This is the wall in the living room. If you look back up at an earlier post, you will see some beautiful wallpaper and a hole in the wall. Now the drywall is in and this wall too has been prepped and is ready to be painted

This is Dudley hard at work getting a bedroom ready. I don't have a picture of it yet, but last weekend Phil and Adam worked on putting trim up around all of the bedroom doors, closets, and windows. It looks really nice! The bedrooms will need to painted too!

And finally for today, this is my favorite picture so far because it looks so nice! :) Last week Dudley's brother, Bradley, and one his painters came up from southern IN and worked all week on getting the outside painted. Doesn't it look great?

I hope everyone is having a good week! More pictures will be added this weekend I'm sure. Peace and love!

Flippin Sweet

Here is the beautiful house on Sunny Lane! This was taken a couple of days ago after we got possession. It is a ranch with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It also has a basement...although this seems to be the worst part of the house right now due to water damage and just plain grossness. We have gotten a great start so far. Everyone has been helping so far just with the demolition of the property....tearing kitchen cabinets and countertops out, knocking walls down, taking the bathroom apart, getting rid of a certain nasty waterbed that was left. Wow, lots to do, but we feel good about what has been completed already! One of the things I am most excited about is Ruthann's accomplishment of getting rid of the AWFUL smell that filled the house. Lots of candles have been burning...it's much better now! These next pictures were taken the first night without anything being started yet. We'll post pictures later this weekend after a couple solid days of work! :) Enjoy!

This is the kitchen. Now it is completely empty! We are working on taking 3 layers of wallpaper/paint down so the guys can start painting here soon.

This is the dining room area looking out to the backyard.

This is the living room! Notice the lovely wallpaper and orange chair left behind.

One of the bedrooms

This is the garage almost full after only being there a couple of hours working in the kitchen.

And finally, here is Adam in the basement! Yes, that is a Napoleon Dynamite shirt he is wearing. Pretty appropriate since it says "Flippin Sweet"....have a wonderful weekend. I know we will. :)
